Alexa Blog, Design Education Series

Summary:

As part of the design documentation provided for the Alexa Presentation Language (APL), the Alexa Skills marketing team asked me to contribute to the Developer Blog in order to share more design-related education with third-party (3P) developers. I collaborated with the team to create a timeline for posts, as well as the list of topics that would be covered. I then wrote each post and created the accompanying imagery before handing the post off to the marketing team. The posts are then shared through the Amazon Alexa Developer social media channels like Twitter and LinkedIn.

Post topics include...

  • 10 Tips for Designing Alexa Skills with Visual Responses (11-28-18)
  • 4 Tips for Designing Voice-First  (12-18-18)
  • Alexa Skills for Everyone: How to Design an Inclusive Voice Experience (01-02-19)
  • Best Practices for Using Imagery and Text in a Multimodal Alexa Skill (01-17-19)

The full list can be read here.
