Project Goal:
To provide designers and developers with highly detailed, comprehensive design documentation related to the Alexa Presentation Language (APL) and the design of multimodal voice-first Alexa Skills.
Project Deliverables:
Design documentation on the individual components, layouts, and device categories available through APL, as well as best practices for VUI and GUI design.
Summary:
In addition to my responsibilities as a UX Designer for APL, I took the lead on producing our external design education for third-party (3P) developers and experience makers known as the Alexa Design Guide. I coordinated the efforts of, and collaborated with, Voice Designers, UX Designers, Design Technologists, UX Writers, and our Technical Writers to author and publish the content.
I was responsible for authoring and editing content, creating visual assets, establishing the information architecture, reporting status, and producing the efforts of team members involved.
